New York Fashion Week might be over, but there’s always a reason to party. On Thursday night, in honor of Valentine’s Day, Cosmopolitan magazine hosted its inaugural Love Ball party in partnership with Bumble and The Standard, High Line at fashion’s longtime party haunt, Boom.
There were familiar faces from the front rows and events of the past week like Ivy Getty, Larsen Thompson, Chase Sui Wonders, and Real Housewife Meredith Marks, as well as additional reality stars including Gabby Windy, currently on “The Traitors,” and Tayshia Adams. Other guests included Elias Kacavas, Blu DeTiger, Emira D’Spain, Larry Owens, and more.
Trays of Cosmpolitans — the drink, naturally — were passed around the room, which was littered with stacks of Cosmopolitans — the magazine — featuring married cover stars Macaulay Culkin and Brenda Song. The “Dirty Poets Department” was stationed in one of the venue’s sunken lounges, churning out flirty poems-on-demand for guests via typewriter.

Around 11 p.m., Cosmo’s new editor Willa Bennett climbed atop the room’s central circular bar to introduce the evening’s performer, rapper JT, and offered incentive to stick around. “We’re having a countdown at midnight,” she teased. “If you have a yellow band that means you’re single, so you’ll be finding another single person, potentially.”
JT didn’t have a yellow band (her Valentine is Lil Uzi Vert) but she did have a yellow Birkin slung from the crook of her elbow. The rapper, who made the New York Fashion Week rounds this season, performed two songs for the crowd, “JT Coming” and “Okay.”
“Shout-out to all the lovergirls and loverboys in the building tonight,” she said, before being helped back down to the floor. “All the single ladies and single men, women, everybody. Goodnight!”
Not everyone in the building was ready to call it a night. At midnight, a flurry of gold confetti welcomed the official start of Valentine’s Day.
