Paris Fashion Week wrapped up a month of inventive and expressive street style, with denim often serving as the preferred canvas.

In Paris, double and, in some cases, triple denim ruled, acting as a versatile yet cool uniform for hitting the Parisian pavement. Washes and aesthetics were mixed, with cowboy shirts layered with cargo vests and fitted Trucker jackets styled with wide-leg jeans.

Colored denim made an impact, especially when color-blocked. Cobalt blue denim coordinates were styled with a grass-green shoulder bag, while prange bell-bottoms were paired with a French blue button-down shirt. Orange, in general, proved to be a popular accent color against deep indigo hues.

The edgier fashion week attendees gravitated black denim, faded jeans with green casts and yellowish tints. Destroyed surfaces and accessories such as studded belts and wallet chains reinforced the rebellious look, while some flare jeans veered into raver territory. One pair of blue jeans featured a twisted construction the placed one back pocket on the front. The statement-making jeans was styled with a low-key long-sleeve T-shirt and black boots.

Others paired ripped and destroyed jeans with lace-trimmed jackets and cropped chore jackets.

Wide-leg blue jeans offer an easy, laid-back base for flowing tops and colorful velvet blazers. Deep cuffs added a retro vibe to some looks.

A hodgepodge of American workwear and Southwestern influences emerged in tobacco-hued jeans and work pants, as well as a suede fringe jacket.

Small details added personality to denim, from a red floral patch decorating the back pocket of a pair of jeans to designer and vintage belts. Other street style highlights included a Dior denim skirt inspired by the fashion houses’ iconic Junon gown, along with flowing, wide-leg jeans.

Beyond denim, sweatshirts were embellished with oversized gemstones and vintage and designer brooches decorated corduroy Trucker jackets. Lingerie-inspired tops provided a feminine counterpoint to rugged denim, while black leather pants delivered a dose of downtown cool.
