For the second year in a row, Devin Booker and Nike are using his signature sneaker as a vehicle to celebrate Halloween. This year’s edition will even up the ante by including a mask that turns the Phoenix Suns star into a monster.
The Nike Book 2 “Halloween” follows the lead of its predecessor by including embellished stitches but inverts the color by arriving primarily in white. Black stitches run around the toe box until they meet the Swoosh, which is also lined with black, and then continuing to the heel.
Some have taken to saying the Book 1 “Halloween” was an unofficial nod to Jack Skellington of “The Nightmare Before Christmas” that now gives way to an Oogie Boogie homage — but the mask with Booker’s cheeks stitched up makes the horror trope just as plausible of an explanation.

Also in the pipeline for the holiday from Nike is a Ja 4 that appears to be mummified and an Air Force 1 Low with a “Scream” influence that can’t be denied. Jordan Brand will partake, albeit less thematically, as well with an Air Jordan 5 with glow-in-the-dark accents.
The Nike Book 2 “Halloween” will release Oct. 30 through the Snkrs app and select third-party retailers. Pricing is set at $155.
