Foot Locker, Kids Foot Locker and Champs Sports are partnering with the Uber Eats app ahead of the back-to-school season.

Starting Thursday, families can order first-day-of-school sneakers and other footwear and apparel — and arrange for on-demand or scheduled delivery from more than 1,000 doors.

“We’re focused on giving customers more ways to shop with speed and convenience,” Foot Locker’s senior director of Strategy Ashley Chiang said, adding that the partnership gives shoppers “another seamless way for them to access the products they love, especially during key shopping moments like back-to-school season.”

Uber Eats has become the place consumers turn to for whatever they need, whether it’s dinner tonight or a last-minute pair of sneakers,” Hashim Amin, head of grocery and retail for Uber in North America, said. “Adding Foot Locker, Kids Foot Locker, and Champs Sports brings some of the world’s most iconic athletic brands to our marketplace and gives customers another fast, convenient way to shop the products they love.”

Other retailers have partnered with Uber to give customers the convenience of having orders delivered in as little as an hour. Last year saw sports retailer Hibbett Inc. join the platform, as well as shoe retailer DSW and Dick’s Sporting Goods and its Golf Galaxy locations.

Shoppers can make orders through the retail category on the app by selecting their nearest Foot Locker, Kids Foot Locker or Champs Sports store and browse the assortment of footwear, apparel, accessories and more. After adding the items to their car, all that’s needed next is the choice of deliver time before placing the order. Shoppers also can track their delivery in real time.

Dick’s previously teamed up with Instacart six years ago for same-day delivery. In 2023, JD Sports joined forces with Instacart and in 2024, Academy Sports + Outdoors teamed up with DoorDash, which also offers same-day delivery in less than an hour on average.
