The 2025 Golden Globes are just days away. The annual award ceremony celebrates the best of film and television, with films like “Wicked” and lauded FX series “Shōgun” earning major nominations.

For the second year in a row, the show will feature an award for Cinematic and Box Office Achievement. Last year’s honor, unsurprisingly, went to “Barbie,” which was the highest-grossing film of 2023.

Prior the to awards ceremony in Beverly Hills, WWD will have exclusive access to the red carpet, where this year’s nominees will arrive in style to kick off the first official event of the 2025 awards season.

When will the 2025 Golden Globes Red Carpet Pre-Show air?

Who’s hosting the 2025 Golden Globes Red Carpet Pre-Show?

Ashley Graham will co-host the red carpet event alongside WWD’s fashion experts — Booth Moore, West Coast executive editor for WWD; and Alex Badia, style director for WWD, with a Live Glam Cam hosted by celebrity hairstylist and TV personality Jonathan Van Ness and WWD’s Beauty Inc. editor-in-chief Jenny B. Fine.

The team will interview A-listers as they head into the Beverly Hilton Hotel for the ceremony, featuring exclusive footage of arrivals at the venue, behind-the-scenes moments, and insider fashion and beauty insights.

“I’m really excited to be doing this with WWD because we get to talk a lot more about fashion,” Graham said in a recent interview with WWD. “I feel like being in the fashion world and being so obsessed with the cuts and the colors and the designers and why the actor or actress chose this, those are the conversations that I’m really excited to have.”

“I am absolutely thrilled to be hosting the Golden Globes. It’s one of my favorite nights of television and now I get a front row seat (actually, I think I have to host from the stage),” Glaser said in a statement.

“The Golden Globes is not only a huge night for TV and film, but also for comedy. It’s one of the few times that show business not only allows, but encourages itself to be lovingly mocked (at least I hope so). It’s an exciting, yet challenging gig because it’s live, unpredictable, and in front of Hollywood’s biggest stars (who also might be getting wasted while seated next to their recent exes),” she added.

The 2025 Golden Globe nominations were announced on Dec. 9. Mindy Kaling and Morris Chestnut revealed the nominees on CBSnews.com/goldenglobes and the CBS News app at 8:15 a.m. ET/5:15 a.m. PT. Ten exclusive categories were revealed beginning live at 8:30 a.m. ET/5:30 a.m. PT on “CBS Mornings.”

Who is receiving honorary awards at the 2025 Golden Globes?

The Golden Globes will honor Ted Danson, a 13-time nominee and three-time winner, with the 2025 Carol Burnett Award. Established at the 76th Golden Globe Awards in 2019, this award recognizes television professionals whose work has profoundly impacted the industry and audiences. Previous recipients include Ellen DeGeneres, Norman Lear and “Feud: Capote vs. The Swans” cocreator Ryan Murphy.

Danson is best known for his role as Sam Malone, a bartender in NBC’s sitcom “Cheers,” which aired from 1982 to 1993. He won two Golden Globes for this role.

“Ted Danson has entertained audiences for decades with his iconic performances that will forever be ingrained in television history,” said Helen Hoehne, president of the Golden Globes, in a statement.

“His renowned career is a testament to his remarkable talent and versatility as an actor and bears resemblance to the award’s legendary namesake. It is an honor to present him with the 2025 Carol Burnett Award to celebrate the tremendous impact he has made and continues to make in television,” Hoehne continued.

Viola Davis will receive the coveted Cecil B. DeMille Award, which recognizes “outstanding contributions to the world of entertainment.” The EGOT winner has been nominated for seven Golden Globes, scoring her first win for 2016’s “Fences.” The film adaptation of August Wilson’s play costarred Denzel Washington, also a former Cecil B. DeMille Award winner.

First created in 1952 in honor of director Cecil B. DeMille, the namesake award has previously been presented to Walt Disney, Sidney Poitier, Barbra Streisand and Oprah Winfrey.
