Kamala Harris made another stop for her presidential campaign on Monday, joining former Rep. Liz Cheney and Maria Shriver for town hall meetings in Royal Oak, Mich. The event was one of three the presidential candidate had scheduled for the day in three swing states — Wisconsin, Michigan and Pennsylvania — just two weeks out from the 2024 presidential election.

For the occasion, Harris continued her power suiting streak, but opted for a new color scheme. The vice president wore a forest green suit, complete with elongated double-breasted blazer and coordinated trousers.

Harris completed her ensemble with black pumps and accessorized with a gold link necklace and her signature pearl earrings. Pearls, a consistent accessory in Harris’s wardrobe, serve as a sartorial homage to the Democratic presidential nominee’s collegiate sorority, Alpha Kappa Alpha.

During the event, Harris joined Shriver and Cheney onstage. Both women wore their own iterations on power suiting with monochrome spins. Shriver opted for an earth-tone look in a burnt sienna suit, while Cheney favored navy hues with a coordinated blouse.

Looking back over the course of Harris’s presidential campaign, power suiting has been the vice president’s go-to style choice. Harris follows suit with several international high-profile women who’ve favored the power suiting trend in the recent past.

Since Princess Diana elevated royal style in the ’80s and ’90s, royal women from Queen Letizia of Spain to Kate Middleton have styled variations on power suiting looks. More recently, celebrities like Kate Winslet have favored power suit looks while promoting new projects. Winslet recently wore a black and white color scheme power suit ensemble to a screening of the film “Lee.”

Championed for years as a staple part of men’s wardrobes, power suiting styles have been embraced by high-profile women. As Harris enters the last two weeks of her campaign, it’s a style she’ll likely continue to utilize leading up to Election Day on Nov. 5.
