Kate Middleton brought one of her current favorite pairs of pumps back to Buckingham Palace on Friday.
The Princess of Wales joined Prince William for a royal garden party at Buckingham Palace in London, wearing Ralph Lauren Collection’s Celia 100mm Calfskin Pumps in the RL Gold colorway. The $750 heels have become one of her most repeated shoe choices across recent royal outings, giving her garden party wardrobe another turn in the warm tan leather style.
Middleton’s pumps had a low-cut vamp, softly pointed toe and smooth calfskin upper in a golden brown shade. The Italian-made style is set on a slim 100mm heel, with a stacked horizontal grain leather finish. The color has become an easy match for the Princess of Wales’ cream, camel and pastel daywear, especially as she has returned to more leather pumps after years of relying heavily on suede Gianvito Rossi styles.

For Friday’s event, Middleton paired the Ralph Lauren heels with Self-Portrait’s Cream 3D Flower Polka Dot Midi Dress. The dress had a cream blazer-style bodice with long sleeves, a belted waist and a midi skirt covered in black polka dots, with three-dimensional floral appliqué at the shoulder. She also wore a vintage Mitzi Lorenz hat with a wide tilted brim, Queen Elizabeth II’s Bahrain Pearl Drop Earrings and Forever New’s Lily woven clutch.
Middleton has kept the Ralph Lauren pumps close this year. She wore them for Easter Sunday church service in April, then again later that month for a Buckingham Palace reception marking the 100th anniversary of Queen Elizabeth II’s birth. The pair first appeared in her wardrobe in 2020, when camel and toffee accessories were a regular part of her daywear, then came back into heavier rotation across 2025.
For Friday’s garden party, Prince William and Middleton hosted on behalf of King Charles, with thousands of guests invited to the palace grounds. Zara Tindall, Prince Edward and Sophie, Duchess of Edinburgh, also attended.
