Laura Dern brought equestrian energy to her black and white Loro Piana look on Tuesday while out in New York City making the rounds promoting her new film “Is This Thing On?”

The “Marriage Story” Oscar-winning actress wore a look courtesy of the Italian luxury fashion brand’s fall 2025 collection. Dern’s look consisted of a coordinated set, featuring extra-wide leg, gaucho-inspired pants with white botanical embroidery near the hem.

Beneath the actress’ black outerwear coat, Dern wore the coordinated long-sleeve jacket with the same symmetrical floral motif and patterning. Dern matched her black and white attire with a pair of pointed-toe shoes, providing sartorial continuity to her overall look.

When it came to her glam, Dern kept it simple. The actress’ blond hair was styled with soft curls and fringe to frame her face. Her makeup included such highlights as lined eyes as well as a soft pink lip for an added touch of color.

Loro Piana’s fall 2025 collection made its debut during Milan Fashion Week in March 2025. The collection incorporated an array of sartorial nods to nations that inspired the curated pieces, from Argentina to the Scottish Highlands, New Zealand and Australia.

“The equestrian reference was reinforced in looks that winked to the British countryside and that one could easily picture the royals in,” Sandra Salibian wrote in WWD’s review of the collection.

“From the Maremma jacket hailing from Loro Piana’s archives and made extra-comfortable with wool inserts to quilted hunting jackets and parkas, the outdoorsy proposition flanked the overall polished tailoring, which also included relaxed suits, collarless jackets and tuxedos tweaked into quilted silk versions or featuring cashmere lapels.”

Dern stars alongside Will Arnett in “Is This Thing On?,” which follows Alex and Tess Novak as they navigate divorce, coparenting, Alex’s comedy career and the sacrifices Tess made for their family. The film, directed by Bradley Cooper, is now in theaters.
