Since regaining full control of her lifestyle brand, House of Harlow, in the fall of 2024, Nicole Richie has taken time to reevaluate the brand’s goals. Now, her new, refined vision for the lifestyle label will be showcased at The Jewelry Box, a bespoke trunk show in collaboration with Violet Grey, kicking off on Thursday in Los Angeles.
“Taking a moment for a realignment has allowed me to return to the core of what House of Harlow has always been: pieces created with intention, designed to be lived with, not just worn. I wanted to reclaim the intimacy of the brand. The sense that jewelry can hold memory, meaning, protection and personality,” Richie told WWD via email. “This chapter has been about refining the brand’s point of view, honoring its roots, and elevating it into a more focused, purposeful space.”
At the event, Richie will debut The Nova Collection, the brand’s first selection of fine jewelry pieces. “Fine jewelry felt like the natural next step in the evolution of House of Harlow. Over the years, I have been working with diamonds and 14-karat gold to make pieces for myself, my friends and private clients. I felt I was ready to bring these into the world at this moment, and it’s very exciting. It represents a new era for House of Harlow, one that’s rooted in purpose and built to last,” she said.

Introducing designs with diamonds, 14-karat gold and gemstones such as garnet, tiger’s eye, green tourmaline and onyx, The Nova Collection highlights craftsmanship, symbolism and a quiet boldness, according to Richie.
Richie was inspired by the concept of intentional luxury, aiming to create pieces “that feel meaningful, considered and rooted in authenticity,” she said. “For me, that starts with materials and symbolism, but it extends to how a piece fits into someone’s life. I always ask, Why does this need to exist? What purpose does it serve for the person wearing it? Jewelry should feel like a talisman. Something that supports you, reflects you, and grows with you. That philosophy guides every design decision I make.”
The Jewelry Box by House of Harlow and Violet Grey is powered by Shopify and will run through Nov. 21. Guests will have the chance to explore the connection between jewelry, beauty and self-expression at the event.
