Olivia Wilde showed off the power dressing trend at Neiman Marcus’ event to welcome Schiaparelli’s creative director Daniel Roseberry on Thursday in Los Angeles.
Wilde wore a full Schiaparelli look, including a black and white pin-striped suit with a patterned detail on the cuff of the blazer and the lapel of the jacket. She completed the ensemble with pointy-toe black heels and accessorized with a small white top-handle bag with gold accents that made a face motif and gold statement earrings.
In addition to Wilde, the Los Angeles event also included Jennifer Lopez, Angela Bassett, Taraji P. Henson, Gabrielle Union, Maya Rudolph, Natasha Lyonne and Demi Moore.
In July, Schiaparelli debuted a shop inside of Neiman Marcus’ Beverly Hills store. The French luxury label is known for its limited retail distribution, so this was a significant business move for the brand.
Neiman Marcus Group has an exclusive arrangement with Schiaparelli, where three of their five retail points of distribution are operated by the company, including a shop inside Bergdorf Goodman, which is owned by NMG; a pop-up at Neiman’s downtown Dallas flagship, and the Beverly Hills shop. Schiaparelli is also available at retail via its atelier at 21 Place Vendôme in Paris, inside Harrods in London, online, and via remote selling with Neiman’s and Bergdorf’s style advisers.
Roseberry is the former designer director for Thom Browne, having dropped out of FIT to work for the now-famed American brand. He spent 10 years at Thom Browne before Schiaparelli appointed him as its creative director in April 2019. He made history as the first American designer to lead a French couture house and one of the youngest to do so.
