Besides the few and far between special occasions, there was once a time where you never would have caught me wearing blush. I’m a bronzer girl through and through, and I like to look glowy and tan, not sunburned and red. I always thought that blush made me look like I had spent too much time in a sauna without drinking water. But now, I’ve learned that blush can actually do wonders for my face, and it’s become one of my most-used makeup products.

Cream, powder, liquid – you name it, I’m into it. Oh, how times have changed. Recently, I tested out the Juvia’s Place Blushed Liquid Blushlighter ($11, originally $18), and my whole world changed. That might be a little dramatic, but it’s become one of my favorite blush formulas ever. The brand has gone viral on social media multiple times, and although this is the first product I’ve used from its range, I’m exceptionally impressed.

What I Like About the Juvia’s Place Blushed Liquid Blushlighter

I find the formula of the Juvia’s Place Liquid Blushlighter to be similar to the Rare Beauty blush in terms of pigment, which means a little goes a long way. Let me say that again: a little goes a long way. The first time I tried it, I was so enamored with the shade I was testing out that I added two huge dollops onto each cheek, which was a mistake. However, once I got the hang of it (and used it how it was intended), I was immediately obsessed.

Some liquid blush products can be drying, but because this formula is infused with vitamin E, the opposite is true. Even when some other areas of my makeup start to look a little dry, my cheeks always look dewy AF. The consistency is creamy and lightweight. To me, it’s the perfect mix between a highlighter and a blush; it’s brightening and eye-catching without being glittery.

Plus, the formula is buildable and easy to wear for any occasion. I can use this product on my no-makeup makeup days just as easily as I can use it for full-glam nights when I’m going out with my friends.

I’ve tested all of the shades, but my two favorites are Rosey Posey, a shimmery rose, and Pink Tulip, a peachy tone. I find that both of them work well on my olive skin tone.

How to Use the Juvia’s Place Blushed Liquid Blushlighter

The brand recommends placing one to two dots of product on the high points of the cheeks and blending slightly using a fluffy brush. Then, it recommends blending the product even more with a damp beauty sponge until you achieve your desired result.

Personally, I like to start with just one dot of product on each cheek. I blend using a fluffy blush brush, moving in an upward and outward motion toward my hairline. I then like to take any leftover product and brush it over the bridge of my nose, as well as the middle and high points of my forehead. This gives me a little bit of a sun-kissed vibe, and I’m all about looking like I just came home from a tropical vacation.

What to Consider Before Trying the Juvia’s Place Blushed Liquid Blushlighter

One thing to note is that this product does include talc. Although most experts agree that talc is generally considered safe in makeup, if you’re avoiding the ingredient, it is worth noting.

Where Is the Juvia’s Place Blushed Liquid Blushlighter Available?
