“Wheel of Fortune” fans can now get their hands on makeup resembling the iconic game show’s puzzle board, million-dollar wedge and more with Laura Geller Beauty’s latest collection. The brand, known for celebrating beauty at all ages, has launched a limited-edition capsule fronted by “Wheel of Fortune” star Vanna White.
“I was blown away with the makeup when they approached me,” White told WWD. “The products are amazing and the coverage is awesome.”
The six-item line, available on Laura Geller’s website now, features primer ($36), an eye shadow palette ($45), a dual-sided makeup brush ($21), kajal eyeliner ($22), a blush wheel ($49) and lipstick ($21). The complete set can be purchased for $140, while a kit containing the palette, blush and makeup brush costs $79.
Geller repackaged her fan-favorite Spackle Skin Perfecting Primer in a sparkly green tube reminiscent of the million-dollar wedge — a highly coveted “Wheel of Fortune” prize. “I love the primer because it makes everything blend so perfectly,” White said.
The Prizewinning Eyes Shadow Palette, modeled after White’s “home away from home,” the “Wheel of Fortune” puzzle board, includes 12 matte and shimmery shades ideal for getting White’s on-camera glam. The game show’s longtime hostess recommends pairing the palette’s brown tones with the Longwear Kajal Eyeliner in Glitz & Glam.
The Face the Wheel Blush Palette includes five rosy hues that can be mixed or worn individually. Geller suggested using the Dual-Ended Blush + Bronzer Precision Brush for seamless application.
Geller worked as a makeup artist and designer before founding her namesake brand in 1997. After discovering her customers’ love for “Wheel of Fortune,” Geller was inspired to create a collection based on “America’s Game.”
“We are constantly listening to our customers and looking to provide them with products that make beauty fun,” said Geller in a statement. Tapping White as the “Wheel of Fortune” capsule’s spokesmodel was a no-brainer for the beauty entrepreneur.
“Vanna is a walking embodiment of the message that we don’t disappear after 40 and in fact, are more beautiful than ever, which is what Laura Geller Beauty is all about,” Geller added.
White, who has appeared on “Wheel of Fortune” since 1982, first found beauty inspiration in ’70s teen idols like Maureen McCormick and Susan Dey. Seeing the “Brady Bunch” and “Partridge Family” stars in the pages of “Teen” magazine led White to experiment with makeup in her youth. The natural, sun-kissed glow that took the decade by storm is something that has stuck with White ever since.
“Oftentimes I won’t wear makeup when I’m not working, and I’ll just throw on some bronzer to give me a little color,” she explained.
After becoming a cohost on “Wheel,” White grew accustomed to bold, vivid makeup that withstands bright studio lighting. Making her camera-ready look accessible to fans is partially what attracted White to partnering with Geller.
“It’s priced for everyone,” White said of the “Wheel of Fortune” collection. “You don’t have to pay exorbitant prices to look good.”
